Definition of periodic maintenance of the car:

Regular car maintenance is a set of precautions that must be taken periodically to ensure the safety of the vehicle and the driver.  The reason for doing it is not necessarily a malfunction.  On the contrary, we avoided any damages that might happen to the car if we neglect to carry out periodic maintenance within the maintenance schedule prepared by the car manufacturer.  The mechanical parts inside the car’s engine are affected by the friction and high temperature that it is exposed to during its operation.  It is therefore important to carry out regular maintenance to maintain these parts and extend their life.  The procedures followed are not limited to the mechanical parts only, for example, tires need regular maintenance to maintain them and to ensure the safety of the driver.

The periodic maintenance of the car differs from the rest of the other types of maintenance, as it is carried out periodically for a certain period or after cutting the car for a certain number of kilometers.  It is always recommended to prepare a maintenance notebook and write down any action you take on the vehicle.  This notebook is useful in the event of a malfunction, God forbid.  And you wouldn’t be able to remember the old maintenance if it weren’t for this notebook.  The latter also has other advantages. It is an encouraging sign for buyers if you ever decide to sell the car.  Buyer will be more satisfied if this notebook is found.  In the future, it will be his guide and its only source for knowing the car’s maintenance history if it is necessary to know previous information about it.

The importance of regular car maintenance:

Prevention is also said to be better than cure.  This saying also applies to the automotive world.  Regular maintenance of the car protects and avoids the car from problems and inevitable damage, if not maintenance.  The car’s components are mechanical, electrical, and other solid and liquid materials, with a total of 30,000 pieces and materials per vehicle.  Each piece has a specific guest, and if this piece is no longer able to do its job, it must be replaced.  When using the car, it is exposed to several variables, such as vibrations, heat and acceleration …  Although it is intended to work in these conditions, some parts may be affected or simply may reach the end of their life, even without external influences.  Regular maintenance of the vehicle is to inspect its parts to ensure its condition and its ability to perform its duties.  For example, the main oil guest protection of mechanical parts from friction with each other.  With use, the oil loses its properties and thus will not be able to protect the mechanical parts.  And its damages may even reach the engine’s destruction (delay of changing the engine oil).  And of course the cost of changing a car’s engine is not comparable to the price of some liters of oil.  Therefore, this preventive measure and the rest of the other periodic vehicle maintenance should not be tolerated.
